By listing your business on Whale Coast Directory, you agree to these terms. They apply to all listings—free or paid.
 By using the directory, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your personal and business information as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Listing Submission

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Keep your listing current by emailing or WhatsApp updates to us.
  • Listings must represent a real business or service.
  • We may remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete.
  • Users are responsible for providing lawful information in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, including POPIA.


3. Free Listings

  • Valid for 12 months. Renewal is required to confirm your listing details.
  • Free listings have limited features compared to paid listings.
  • Businesses are responsible for maintaining their free listing.
  • We may remove free listings at any time.

4. Paid Listings & Features

  • Paid listings provide extra features as advertised.
  • Valid for 12 months, with renewal and possible annual price increases.
  • Features may be updated, removed, or changed at any time.
  • Payment is required in full upon invoicing and is non-refundable.
  • Non-payment may result in suspension or removal.

5. Content & Links

  • Descriptions should be concise, accurate, and focused on your services.
  • We may remove content that is misleading, offensive, or inappropriate.
  • You may include social media links, but we are not responsible for third-party content.

6. Using the Directory

  • Use the platform only for legitimate business purposes.
  • Do not use it for illegal, prohibited, or fraudulent activities.
  • Violations may result in listing removal or reporting to authorities.

7. Privacy

  • Your personal and business information will be collected, stored, and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • When you submit a listing or interact with the directory, you consent to this processing.
  • For details on your rights under POPIA, including access, correction, deletion, and objection, please see the Privacy Policy.

8. Termination

  • You can cancel your listing at any time.
  • No refunds for terminated listings.
  • We may remove any listing at our discretion.
  • Data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy when a listing is terminated.

9. Liability

  • Listings are provided “as-is.”
  • We do not guarantee visibility, traffic, or business leads.
  • We are not responsible for any loss or damages from using the directory.

10. Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms at any time.
  • The latest terms will always be available on our website; no individual notifications are provided.

11. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by South African law.

12. Additional Provisions

Intellectual Property

  • You confirm your listing content does not infringe third-party rights and that you have permission to use any images, text, or logos.

Dispute Resolution

  • You agree to attempt mediation or alternative dispute resolution before legal action regarding your listing or these terms.
